A Year-Long Christian Leadership Experience for Young Adults

TENTMAKERS Year on Mission is a gap year program designed to help young adults grow in strength as disciples of Jesus Christ. 

In this program participants will: grow in compassion, character, and faith while developing the imagination, moral courage, and tenacity to lead in all walks of life.

TENTMAKERS Year on Mission provides diverse experiences and the training, coaching, and skills to study and apply God's Word to create a disciple-making ministry.

TENTMAKERS Year on Mission begins with 40 days at Wilderness North for training and equipping in leadership and discipleship. Teams will then integrate into a new local community through a church to begin their disciple-making ministry. Participants will be guided through the year including preparations and raising support.

By investing one year on mission to develop the skills, disciplines and attitudes for leadership and disciple-making in a church and community setting will prepare you to live your whole life on mission for Jesus Christ!

Dick Amundson

Dick Amundson is the president and founder of TENTMAKERS. He started the ministry in 1979 in response to the need for more Christ-centered, equipped, and committed youth leaders.

Londa Amundson

Londa Amundson is a manager and trainer in leadership development. In 1979, she co-founded TENTMAKERS with her husband Dick. Her major focus has been the development of the organization’s unique training process.

Owen Cooper

Owen has been associated with TENTMAKERS since 2006. He currently co-manages the TENTMAKERS Year on Mission program and promotes the program to young people, churches, and schools.

Mark Eliason

Mark has been on staff with TENTMAKERS since September of 1989. He has carried a number of roles over the years and right now mainly focuses on the preparation and delivery of the different TENTMAKERS training events available.

Chuck Salibi

Chuck found TENTMAKERS in 2012, and attended the 40-Day Leadership Training Experience in 2015 where he followed God's call to use his passion for educators and students to volunteer with TENTMAKERS. Chuck joined the TENTMAKERS team full time in 2018.
